Human Biology, Stress, and Sports
The Tennyson Research Team for Human Biology, Stress, and Sports was started to bring together several interconnected research projects consisting of graduate and undergraduate student projects at various levels.
We utilize a range of methods - from qualitative interviews to molecular labwork - to better understand how humans react and adapt to our psychosocial and physical environments. Further, we are interested in how these reactions and adaptations impact our biology, health, and aging.
Our current projects center on the interplay between athletics, psychosocial stress, and adaptations to altitude and utilize a combination of in-person and remote data collection.
